WANC 03: A WANC Should Only Be So Long
Well the new WANC is here and weighing in at just a little under an hour! As stated in the previous post there are a few audio difficulties as this was our first face to face group WANC (does that sound dirty?) Hope you enjoy it, we did.

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT! I just listened to it and it was really great! You guys have made a big improvement in the overall quality and I love the music. I won’t comment on the combination of brad with WANC (okay I have to admit I was ROFLing again but I did have to send the cat out of the room to protect his sensibilities…)

Great job guys. Jason, you and I have the same ideas about DRM and music. I was unable to save my wife from iTunes though. By the time I learned about the DRM, she had already spent $100+, and was pretty much forced to get an iPod.

Actually she has a shuffle (all I could afford for Christmas). She seems to like it, although I would say it is an overpriced piece of you know what.
I just purchased the Sandisk m240 1GB player for $30 on Amazon ($59.99 – $30 for getting the Amazon credit card).
I listened to WANC03 again today at work. I really liked the Highlander story!
Also, I don’t “get” Snakes on a Plane. What is the deal with Snakes on a Plane?
I like my iPod and will probably get another one when it dies. I’m not an apple fanboy by any means but I just like the iPod.

Snakes on Plane tells you exactly what you’re going to get in the movie.
Snakes? Yes
On a plane? YES!!!
Snakes on a plane!!!!
The whole thing started with Samuel L. Jackson. When he got the script it’s working title was Snakes on a Plane. Then they told him that was JUST the working title and they were going to call it Northwest Flight 121 or some boring name like that!
Samuel said NO! I’m not going to do it if you change the name. You see Samuel L. knew that with a name like Snakes on a Plane the movie would make more money and get a whole lot of more publicity.
Then the internet set in. The title was picked up and emraced by geeks. Blogs sprang up about the name and the hysteria spread like wild fire. Then it started getting mentioned on podcasts such as Michael and Evo’s Wingin’ It as a new way for geeks to say that something is cool!
Well I jumped on the bandwagon (as I usually do for things that are geeky and weird). One day on the way to Kansas City I was talking to Bill about defending Snakes on a Plane the night before. He got this look in his eye and said that I should get a Snakes on a Plane tattoo to pimp the WANC. As I had already thought about getting a Snakes on a Plane tattoo just for the hell of it I jumped on this.He suggested we take donations as well.
Well this was perfect! This way I wasn’t doing something stupid on my own!!! I was getting support from others!
So yes I admit this is a crazy thing to do, but life is just to short not to do the fun stuff!
